A friendly reminder of the property rules as we move into summer

Member and Guest Rules at Silver Creek Lakes

All pets must be on a leash at all times.

No discharging of firearms on the property for any reason.

No excessive driving of ATV’s or other vehicles on the property other than for normal transportation. Please exit the property and use the surrounding National Forest for exploring, cruising, etc.

Silver Creek Lakes is a CATCH & RELEASE fishery except MEMBERS may keep fish from Lake #2, and only for immediate consumption.  ALL GUESTS MUST RELEASE ALL FISH IMMEDIATELY.

The use of treble hooks on any lake or pond is prohibited by anyone fishing; only SINGLE BARBLESS hooks are allowed to be used on the property.

Members and Guests are required to release fish promptly and properly to help insure their survival.  Silver Creek Lakes encourages everyone to use either “Forceps” or a “Quick Release Tool” to remove hooks.  These tools will enable the quick release of the fish without lifting the fish from the water.  When ever possible, do not ‘over play’ fish when landing them.

Lake #3 – (Third lake up from the main gate) and the two South Ponds (above Bond’s home) require barbless FLIES ONLY.  NO LURES.

Lake #2 – for Family Fishing – any legal method in Colorado, including bait.  SINGLE BARBLESS hooks only.

Lake #1 – (Nearest the main gate) and all other ponds – FLIES and LURES with single barbless hooks.

A valid Colorado Fishing License is required at Silver Creek Lakes.

Please keep the main gate closed and locked at all times.

While fishing, please park vehicles at designated locations, near benches and rule signs.  Please report all concerns/violations to Mark Kennedy, President – Silver Creek Lakes.   (719-250-7000)

In Memory of Betty Lawrence

Betty Jo Lawrence passed away January 20th, 2013. Betty was part of the Silver Creek Lakes community for many, many years. She was an absolutely delightful woman and we will miss her positively contagious smile. We have so many fond memories of Betty and Earl from our time at the lakes and our most heartfelt sympathies are with the Lawrence family.

In Memory of Jerry Hodges

Silver Creek member Jerry Hodges passed away July 31, 2012. Jerry and Gladys, original investors, have enjoyed Silver Creek Lakes since the late 1970s. Our deepest condolences to Jerry’s family – he was a beloved member of the Silver Creek Lakes community and he will be missed.

New Additions to Silver Creek Lakes

The new maintenance building above Lake 2 is finished and we’ve put in two new weirs to manage the water flow to the ponds. The main entrance has also been upgraded and we have new signs, posts, and lights at the gate. We are in the final stages of a water solution for the Rec Center which will likely be implemented spring of 2012.
